Pearls
Pearls form when an irritant, such as a grain of sand, gets inside the shell of a mollusk. The mollusk secretes layers of nacre, a combination of aragonite and conchiolin, around the irritant, gradually forming a pearl.
Natural pearls are formed without human intervention, while cultured pearls are created by inserting a tissue graft or bead into the mollusk to stimulate pearl formation. Cultured pearls are more common and accessible.
Real pearls feel gritty when rubbed against your teeth due to their natural texture, while fake pearls feel smooth. Real pearls also have variations in shape and luster, whereas fake pearls are often uniform.
You can get only real pearls at our website with every pearl quality controlled.
The value of a pearl is determined by its size, shape, color, luster, surface quality, and nacre thickness. Larger, rounder, and more lustrous pearls with fewer surface blemishes are typically more valuable.
Akoya Pearls: Known for their high luster and classic white color.
Tahitian Pearls: Famous for their dark colors, including black, green, and blue.
South Sea Pearls: Large and known for their satin luster, usually in white or golden shades.
Freshwater Pearls: Found in a variety of shapes and colors, often more affordable.
Environmental changes and pollution can negatively impact the health of mollusks, leading to fewer and lower-quality pearls. Clean, unpolluted water is essential for producing high-quality pearls.
In ancient Rome, pearls symbolized wealth and power, while in ancient China, they were believed to protect against fire and dragons. In Hindu mythology, pearls are associated with purity and love.
Freshwater pearls are typically smaller and less lustrous than saltwater pearls, but they come in a wider variety of shapes and colors. They are also often more affordable.
Pearl diving has a long history, particularly in regions like the Persian Gulf, India, and Japan. Divers would risk their lives to retrieve oysters from the ocean floor before the advent of pearl farming.
The color of a pearl is influenced by the type of mollusk, the water in which it lives, and the presence of trace elements. Blue, green, and especially black pearls are among the rarest.
Pearl Jewelry
Popular styles include pearl necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings. Chokers, opera-length necklaces, and stud earrings are especially timeless choices.
Consider the size, color, and luster of the pearls. Smaller pearls are great for earrings and rings, while larger pearls make a statement in necklaces and bracelets.
Modern trends include mixing pearls with other gemstones, using irregular-shaped pearls, and incorporating pearls in non-traditional settings like asymmetrical designs.
Pearls can be combined with metals like gold or silver, set with diamonds or colored gemstones, and designed in minimalist or bold styles to create contemporary pieces.
Pearl jewelry has been prized for thousands of years, from ancient Egypt and Rome to the courts of Europe and the Mogul emperors of India. It has always symbolized wealth and sophistication.
Clean pearls with a soft, damp cloth after wearing. Avoid exposing them to chemicals, perfumes, and excessive moisture. Store them in a soft pouch away from other jewelry to prevent scratching.

Caring instructions
General Instruction
You can prolong the life of your jewelry by properly and regularly caring for it. There are some basic rules that you should follow in order for you to prolong the life of your precious and beautiful pieces of jewelry:
- If possible, rings and other pieces of jewelry should not be worn while carrying out home and garden work, exercising or bathing (salt or chlorine water).
- Jewelry should be removed before going to bed or taking a shower.
- Perfume or hairspray can cause the jewelry to become dull and decrease its shine. We recommend putting perfume, hairspray or other cosmetics on first before putting on your jewelry.
Special Instruction for Pearls
- Pearls should not come into contact with perfume, make-up or hairspray. Alcohol or other solvents can damage the surface of the pearls.
- Pearls should be kept separately from other jewellery, ideally in a cloth bag or wrapped in a soft cloth. That way you can prevent your synthetic pearls from being scratched.
- Pearls are also not suitable for cleaning in the jewellery bath.
Cleaning
Please make sure that stones, pearls and cold enamel are compatible with your cleaning methods.
- Soap, cream and make-up residues can be removed using an ultrasonic device. The ultrasonic device should not be filled with abrasive cleaning agents. It is best to use water with a little bit of neutral cleaning agent.
- Please use a jewelry cleaning cloth to polish slightly tarnished areas and remove dullness, bringing the jewelry back to its original shine. If the discoloration and dullness can't be removed with the jewelry cleaning cloth, we recommend using a jewelry bath solution.
- Please carefully follow the instructions of the cleaning product you purchased for use. Best results are achieved when the item is first dipped, dried thoroughly and finally rubbed and polished with the jewelry cleaning cloth.
- Oxidised pieces of jewelry should not be cleaned in the jewelry bath, if you don't want the oxidation (blackened) effect to be reomoved.
- The surface can, however, be polished with a cleaning cloth.
- Jewelry with imitated pearls, freshwater cultured pearls, lapis lazuli, coral, turquoise, mother-of-pearl, jasper, howlite or hematite are also not suitable for cleaning in the jewelry bath.
- Only the silver parts on leather wristbands, rubber straps or straps made of any other sort fabric may be cleaned using a silver cloth. Do not put leather wristbands and fabric straps in silver immersion baths or clean them using an ultrasonic device.
- Other commercial specialist silver or gold jewelry dipping baths may also be used. Please follow the instructions for use and, if in doubt, make sure that stones, pearls and cold enamel are compatible.
